Introducing the new Savi

A cleaner, faster desktop app and a fully redesigned mobile experience, with dashboards, clipping and admin now in your pocket.

Savi has always been about one thing: getting the right moment in front of the right person, fast. The new Savi keeps everything you rely on and makes it quicker to reach. The desktop app has a modern interface with fewer clicks between you and an answer. The mobile app has been rebuilt from the ground up, so the work you used to save for a laptop can happen in the field.

Here’s what’s new.

Desktop

A cleaner interface, with your choice of theme

Every page has been restyled with a more modern, simplified look. From the account menu you can switch between light mode, dark mode, or match your system setting. Drag the handle to compare them.

Filters that stack

On the Events page, click Add filter, pick from the dropdown, and stack as many filters as you need. Saved searches are no longer buried in a menu: save the search you’re looking at, then load or remove saved searches from the same spot.

Event details

Everything in one view

Open an event and everything about it is in one view: the video, the receipt and the comments, with no scrolling to reach any of them. When you’re done, use the arrows to step to the next event without going back to the table.

Video that fills the screen

The video grid now removes as much empty space as possible and adapts to whatever browser or screen size you’re on. Favorites have their own tab, so a long favorites list stays out of the way until you need it.

Timeline

A timeline that matches how you look

Choose minutes, hours or days and the timeline shows exactly that. Scroll to find a precise window, then change the selector to drill into it. Each view buckets video the same way you’re thinking about it.

Everything you could do in Admin before, in the same cleaned-up interface as the rest of the app.

Mobile

Savi in your pocket, redesigned

The mobile app has been rebuilt. It runs as a progressive web app on iOS and Android, so there’s nothing to install from an app store, and you can save it to your home screen.

For the first time, dashboards are on iOS and Android. Pick any dashboard you have access to from the dropdown at the top and see the same widgets you see on desktop.

Bigger filters, faster details

Filters are easier to reach and tap. Event details take less space, so downloading a clip or jumping straight into the video tab from an event is one tap. Step to the next event without closing back to the table.

Video that plays as soon as you tap

Tap a location and every camera starts playing, without pressing a separate button. Open a single camera or change the grid. Clipping now lives right on top of the video grid: pick cameras, choose a preset or drag a time window, name it and create.
